Civil War Hero Major General Philip Kearny was killed in the Battle of Chantilly, Virginia on September 1, 1862 and was buried in his family vault in Trinity Churchyard, New York City. Fifty years later, the veterans of Kearny’s First New Jersey Brigade petitioned the General’s family to have his remains removed to Arlington National Cemetery, so a fitting memorial be placed over his last resting place.

-Praise & Worship Dance-

The Project Dance Foundation at Project Dance New York City April 21, 2017
What happens when you put a couple hundred dancers in a room that love Jesus and have come together from all over America, Canada and many places to gather and worship God? When the worship music starts of course these dancers (lead by Hillsong Church NYC New York worship team) start dancing and using their bodies as instruments of worship to give glory back to their Creator. They have total freedom with no inhibitions and have no fear of man thinking what others might be thinking of them. They are in an intimate place displaying their love relationship between them & God.
This beauty is to glorious not to capture and inspire all of us to consider using our bodies to worship God whether in our personal quiet times all alone of on the big stage – we perform for “an audience of one”. One day we’ll all be doing this in heaven so why not start practicing right now!

Psalm 149:3 Let them praise his name with dancing and make music to him with timbrel and harp.
2 Samuel 6:12-16 …David, celebrating extravagantly all the way, with frequent sacrifices of choice bulls. David, ceremonially dressed in priest’s linen, danced with great abandon before God. The whole country was with him as he accompanied the Chest of God with shouts and trumpet blasts. But as the Chest of God came into the City of David, Michal, Saul’s daughter, happened to be looking out a window. When she saw King David leaping and dancing before God, her heart filled with scorn.

Re-Merge Dance Project led by Debbie Wiens from Reflections School of Dance is in New York, New York Times Square joining with all these people to worship God!
