Legend has it, the El Camino Real in Silicon Valley is part of the historic Mission trail, an ancient road that connects the Spanish missions, like a string of pearls along the California coast.

A smiling Prince Harry sang Happy Birthday to a young royal fan as she stood waiting to meet him on her ninth birthday. Megan O’Carroll was stood with classmate Harry Edwards from St Werburgh’s Catholic Primary School in Birkenhead as the royal couple approached. The school had sent their very own Harry and Megan to meet the royal couple, who were in town visiting a number of charities, having earlier unveiled a statue to war poet Wilfred Owen. Amazingly as the group around the two schoolchildren started to sing, Harry joined in too. The footage was recorded by Hello’s Royal Editor Emily Nash, who tweeted the clip filmed in Birkenhead. Meghan came back over to see her little namesake, saying “I missed a happy birthday that was happening here. “Is it your birthday? Happy birthday Megan.” The Duchess of Sussex had already told crowds she was six months pregnant and even asked them what she should call the baby if it was a girl. One replied that she she should call it “Amy” to which Meghan said was a “great name”. For updates follow Mirror Online’s live blog Dressed in a red coat and matching heels, with a purple dress, she was pictured cradling her large bump throughout today’s visit. The couple were seen working the crowd, with hugs for schoolchildren from Harry as the receive gifts including a giant teddy and flowers. They started the day with a visit to Hamilton Square, where they viewed a new sculpture to mark the 100th anniversary of war poet Wilfred Owen’s death. The statue, by artist Jim Whelan, is entitled ‘Futility’ after one of Owen’s poems. Video footage showed fans screaming ‘Meghan’ as the royal couple unveil a plaque to go with the sculpture. Together, the couple lifted a purple sheet off the plaque as people cheered. They then did a walkabout before being seen at the town hall. The Duke and Duchess also officially opened ‘Number 7’, a ‘Feeding Birkenhead’ citizens supermarket and community cafe. Feeding Birkenhead is a coalition of churches, food banks, community groups, and other organisations working together to eliminate hunger in Birkenhead. The supermarket enables local families to buy their weekly shopping at a discounted price, and provides advice and advocacy on benefits, looking for work, debt, budgeting, and cooking. Meghan and Harry will visit Tomorrow’s Women Wirral, an organisation that supports women in vulnerable circumstances and helps them make positive lifestyle choices and changes. Finally they will visit the Hive Wirral Youth Zone.

“Bernie Sanders Talks Income Inequality at Black Churches in South Carolina”
“According to an ABC News/Washington Post poll released today, Sanders is seeing more and more support from minorities nationwide.
Sanders gained 16 percentage points among nonwhite voters since the last poll in October, whereas Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton lost 11 percentage points, though she still has a 2-1 lead over him with with this key group (65 percent compared to 31 percent support.)”

We had a great time with a super fun team on their gorgeous wedding day. The Le Richelieu Hotel French Quarter was the perfect, intimate setting for the couple to get ready with their friends and family. Everyone then headed over to the beautiful Immaculate Conception Jesuit Church for an emotional ceremony, and then Latrobe’s On Royal to party all night with the always hopping, Groovy 7. Ruby and Pearl Events kept the day on track, and make sure to check out the Matthew Foster Photography blog at the link below for all of the sweet photos. A classic cake by La Louisiane, accented by stunning florals by Kim Starr Wise Floral Events (including a wall of greenery creating an intimate cigar lounge outside of Latrobe’s) and glowing decor (see photos below) by Luminous Events of New Orleans gave the entire day a romantic, elegant, and classic feel. Melissa Vaccaro did all the gals’ makeup beautifully, and Moughnay Clark and Teeze Salon perfected all of the hairdos. The Paulin Brothers Brass Band ended the night leading a wild New Orleans second line through the French Quarter (even down Bourbon Street with lots of onlookers!!), and Michelle and Jonathan road off into newlywed bliss via pedicab!
